2013 is a critical year for Haiti Village Health. Last year, generous funding from international partners for growth and development enabled us to invest in a new clinic. However, as we expand, there is an urgent need for ongoing operating funds – to pay for Haitian salaries, medical supplies, fuel, and all recurring expenses.
This holiday season, we appeal to you for ongoing donations that will make all the difference to sustaining our presence and programs into the future, as we train Haitians to assume the jobs of providing healthcare for their people. Please consider becoming a MEMBER or a PATRON of Haiti Village Health. Contributions from our members and patrons are extremely valuable as they enable us to plan and budget for our programs for the year.

2012 has seen exciting events at HVH including construction of the new clinic in Bod me Limbe, major renovations to the Shada clinic in Cap Haitien and funding for scaled-up WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene) initiatives. A new partnership with Builders Without Borders Canada will ensure quality control and international standards for our capital projects.
While we are well staffed with international medical volunteers, we remain dedicated to the training of Haitian staff in order to create sustainability and build capacity. Consequently, our operating expenses run at around $13,000 per month to fund: our two clinics and staff of 15, pediatric and maternal health outreach programs, community education, health worker training and WASH initiatives. We raise only about 30% of the required revenue through our volunteer fees, we rely on your generous donations to fund the rest.
Our organization remains in a critical position. Please do what you can, but doing it now will ensure Haitians are learning and receiving healthcare throughout this year and into the future.
